Tarte Rainforest of The Sea Eye & Cheek Palette Review

I need another new eyeshadow palette as much as I would need a hole in the head but oh my goodness, what a beauty this one is. I currently have about three eyeshadow palettes in rotation, some of which are suitable for travel, one of which most definitely is not. Not that I need a new palette but if I were to buy a new one, I would want it to be travel friendly as, between you and me, I may have a new job to start soon which may include a lot of air miles.. So to prepare for this I am trying to make sure everything I buy is as travel friendly as possible in order to ensure I use it and get the most out of it. Which is why one of my (many) new make-up additions is perfect. Six eyeshadows, one blusher and a mirror compacted into a sturdy little palette is perfectly ideal and it comes from Tarte. Another one of the items included in my recent Tarte Rainforest of The Sea Collection which I bought from QVC for a wonderful price of £35, the Tarte Rainforest of The Sea Eye & Cheek Palette is perhaps my favourite product out of the bunch.

This Limited Edition Tarte Rainforest of The Sea Eye & Cheek Palette is a beauty. Featuring 4 matte eyeshadows, 2 shimmery eyeshadows and one matte blusher, I am surprised this palette which is mostly made up of neutral tones, is Limited Edition. It is lovely. Each shade compliments the rest perfectly and I am utterly in love with Mystified, the pretty, light warm pink matte blusher.

The eyeshadows within this palette definitely do not disappoint either. Whilst I do notice slight fallout when I apply the two darker shades, Driftwood and Sandcastle, when applied with a MAC Paint Pot underneath I find that everything stays in place all day long without creasing or fading away. Each of the eyeshadows are incredibly pigmented and they all blend like a dream using Morphe Eyeshadow Brushes. At the moment I like to apply Tide as a base, Sunset and Horizon in the crease as transition shades then Driftwood and Sandcastle blended out from the outercorners to give a really smokey eye. I also love Reflection which is a really beautiful pale pink champagne shade which has a silver shimmer running throughout. This looks lovely on the inner corners of the eye so for once, I can honestly say that I use every single shade within a palette! There is no dud shade here, no shade which has been plonked in to make up the numbers. Each shade holds their own and I haven't reached for anything else since I started to use it.

It is a real shame that this Tarte Rainforest of The Sea Eye & Cheek Palette is Limited Edition. I had never tried any eyeshadows from Tarte before and I definitely was not left disappointed. I love everything about this palette, from the outer packaging to the mirror within. Mystified, the matte pink blusher has instantly become my favourite cheek product out of all of the others that I own and the eyeshadows.. wow. So pigmented, so soft and easy to blend. There is a little bit of fallout but hey, it is worth it. I wish it wasn't Limited Edition as it is just so good.. but then again, maybe that is why it is Limited Edition!
