Review | Morphe 35OS Colour Shimmer Eye Shadow Palette

"Can you have enough eyeshadow?" I asked myself as I bought yet another eyeshadow palette. At the moment I can't seem to stop spending money. I would love to say I have been spending the money on others what with Christmas coming up but no, it's all been spent on myself. Whilst that's nice, if I carry on treating myself at the rate I am going then I may be treating myself to an overdraft too!

My latest eyeshadow palette purchase is the Morphe 35OS Colour Shimmer Eye Shadow Palette. I recently really wanted to buy the famous Morphe 35O Palette but after browsing through all of the palettes I ended up torn between the 35F and the 35OS Palettes. Obviously you can see which one I bought but when the 35F Palette comes back into stock, it will most definitely be mine.

About the Morphe 35OS Eye Shadow Palette:
"With 35 shimmering, velvety-textured shadows - from palest ivory to dark chocolate via a rainbow of orange, tangerine and pomegranate hues - this palette stars a multitude of sumptuous, neutral tones; earthy ochres sit alongside fiery coppers and shades of rust, mocha, bronze and peachy-apricots, to create the ultimate eye make up wardrobe in one, slimline (portable!) case. A favourite of professional make up artists, the buttery powders blend together beautifully to achieve a seamless, high-definition finish."

When I first saw the Morphe 35OS Eye Shadow Palette, I was completely and utterly drawn to the pomegranate shades within. They are so beautiful and so wearable, I hate to say it but it really is a wonderful Autumnal palette. Each shade within this palette is incredibly wearable - there is not one dud shade out of all 35 eyeshadows. From the pretty, ivory shades which make for perfect bases, to the bright tangerine matte shade at the top of the palette, I can see myself wearing each and every shade which is pretty rare to admit when it comes to eyeshadow palettes - there's usually one or two that you would never use but I can honestly say each of the 35 eyeshadows will be applied to my face at some point!

I have only tried a handful of the eyeshadows so far, perhaps 5 or 6, but each of those have been very pigmented. The tangerine shade makes for a wonderful transition shade and looks lovely in the crease, and the pomegranate shimmers look incredible as a flush of colour with one of the ivory shimmers patted on top. I am obsessed with this palette, especially since there is a very convincing dupe for the MAC Cranberry Eye Shadow within.

With every compliment there is a slight complaint but only very very slight. Most of the shades I have tried so far have had a lot of fallout, particularly the cranberry shimmery shades. I didn't notice it with the ivory and tangerine shades but the pomegranate colours have quite a lot of noticeable fallout to them but it's not the end of the world, let's face it. Also, I mentioned it with my last Morphe 35T Eye Shadow Palette review but the packaging to these palettes is incredibly cheap and flimsy. Whilst I don't make a habit of purposefully dropping my make-up, I'm not certain it would survive in one piece, let's put it that way!

Overall, I am utterly obsessed with this Morphe 35OS Palette. I love every shade within the palette and there is not one that I would not use. This palette has made me excited every day to apply my eyeshadow and that in itself is pretty impressive.

  6. I have this palette and I love it! There is a bit of fallout but only with the chunkier glittery shades from what I've seen. It makes me really curious to try Morphe's matte shades!

    1. I completely agree. With one of the cranberry shades I ended up with more fallout on my cheeks than I did on my eyelids. It is such a pretty palette x
