Review | Anastasia Beverly Hills Illuminator in Peach Nectar

I very recently turned *gulp* 23 and fresh in the pain and upset of becoming one step closer to being in the 'Overs' category on the X Factor, my sister surprised me with perhaps the most glorious thing I have ever seen in my life. Opening up a little wrapped up box to discover the Anastasia Beverly Hills Illuminator in Peach Nectar made me squeal slightly - look how beautiful it is. It is so hard to really capture its true beauty through photographs so if any of you would like to come round to my house to see it in the flesh then you are more than welcome, ha ha.

About the Anastasia Beverly Hills Illuminators:
"Anastasia Beverly Hills Illuminator adds a subtly exquisite veil of perfection to the complexion effortlessly. Featuring a mosaic-style design of pressed powder, Illuminator utilises brightening pigments to inject a lit-from-within glow that makes the complexion appear healthy, radiant and flawless. Packaged within a mirror compact, this innovative highlighter allows for full creative control whilst on-the-go, meaning that you will look enchantingly beautiful everywhere and anywhere. With a versatile texture, Illuminator can work tirelessly to brighten the brow bone, the cheeks, the nose and the decolletage, whilst simultaneously making the ideal addition to a contoured effect for the skin."

The Anastasia Beverly Hills Illuminators are available in 4 different shades; Starlight, Riviera, So Hollywood and Peach Nectar. I have Peach Nectar which is a beautiful warm peach which has a champagne gold coloured undertones running throughout. There is no doubting how beautiful this is, it is just such a shame that photographs don't seem to do it any justice whatsoever. Peach Nectar is such a pretty, warm, peachy highlighter which looks beautiful applied lightly on the cheekbones as a highlighter or applied a little heavy handed to the cheeks as a blusher. What I love about the ABH Illuminator's is that they are more shimmery than glittery and don't emphasise pores like some highlighters do.

The ABH Illuminator's are not cheap at £28 for 9 grams, although they are slightly better value for money than the Becca Highlighter's which cost £30 for just 8 grams. That said, the Anastasia Beverly Hills Illuminator's are incredibly rich in pigmentation - one dab of your make-up brush is plenty to cover the entire face if you so wished. The formula is very finely milled so you don't get any fallout or great big chunks of glitter applied to your face. The texture is very soft making the illuminator incredibly easy to apply and it lasts all day on the skin without fading away meaning you can glow all day and all night. Happy days!

One final note: how utterly gorgeous does this look in the pan?? I absolutely love the mosaic effect of the product in the pan, it is nearly too pretty to use. Nearly. The packaging is all very nice and in keeping of Anastastia Beverly Hills' other products and I can quite honestly say that I now want all of the illuminators and I have even signed up to the waiting list for the rest!
