Review | Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturiser for Normal/Combination Skin

Liz Earle is a marvellous lady. All of her skincare products are made up of natural ingredients which aren't tested on animals, something which I am starting to become very aware of when purchasing beauty and skincare products. As I get older I am trying to turn to more natural ingredients within my skincare products in order to, hopefully, combat the ageing process without the use of botox for as long as possible. I know I am only 22 but I started using anti-ageing cream at 14. Prevention is better than cure people, prevention is better than cure!

I recently tried out the Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser which is very much worth its cult status. It is very soft and gentle on the skin whilst removing all grime, dirt and make-up left on the skin at the end of the day. Because I loved using the product so much, I decided to try another daily must-have: the Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturiser for Normal/Combination Skin.

About the Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturiser:
"This perfectly balanced moisturiser softens, smoothes and conditions skin for a naturally healthy glow. Rich in natural actives, including borage oil (a rich source of the essential fatty acid GLA) and natural antioxidants beta-carotene and vitamin E to replace lost moisture and help protect normal/combination skin."

Available in two different versions depending on your skin type, normal/combination or dry/sensitive, the moisturiser comes in a 50 ml pot which may sound quite small considering the price of the product but a little goes a long, long way so that 50 ml pot will be with you for a while, let me tell you. The packaging is very similar to the rest of Liz Earle products with its soft mint green coloured packaging and its twist-up lid. But enough about that, let's talk about what's inside!

The moisturiser itself is more like a balm in consistency rather than a cream. It is creamy but it still has a bit of a stiffness to it, if that makes sense. The moisturiser smells really lightweight and refreshing without being overpowering. It's a lovely scent which you wouldn't mind applying at the beginning of your day as well as at the end of it. Once applied to the skin the scent disappears completely and the moisturiser itself sinks into the skin really quickly without making the skin feel greasy or sticky at all. It is a really lightweight moisturiser which smoothes the skin whilst moisturising it. What more could you want?!

Overall, I really love this moisturiser. It is crammed full of natural ingredients including borage and avocado oils which moisturises the skin whilst smoothing it and it does the job wonderfully well. The Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturiser has a wonderfully light and refreshing scent to it which doesn't linger on the skin. The lightweight moisturiser isn't sticky or greasy and it sinks into the skin really quickly, making it perfect for underneath make-up. The price may seem quite high considering you only get a 50 ml pot but it is really worth every penny considering it is filled with natural and healthy ingredients. Once again, Liz Earle have produced another cult product for me to keep on repurchasing!
