Review | Jimmy Choo Exotic Eau de Toilette

Can you have too many perfumes? I am sure there is worst things out there to collect. I recently decided to go through my beauty cupboard and I found so many perfumes that I have hardly used yet, if at all. I decided to get rid of all of the packaging to them as they were just taking up so much space in my cupboard - it is so surprising how much packaging comes with a perfume bottle!

The newest addition to my ever-expanding perfume collection is the Jimmy Choo Exotic Eau de Toilette. I absolutely love Jimmy Choo perfumes, with Jimmy Choo Illicit and the original Jimmy Choo Perfume being firm favourites of mine, so it is no wonder another perfume within the range has caught my attention. If you like the original Jimmy Choo fragrance then you are sure to love this.

About the Jimmy Choo Exotic Eau de Toilette:
"Jimmy Choo EXOTIC is a sexy twist on the original fragrance, an addictive fruity composition which is truly evocative of high summer. Based around tiger orchids and patchouli, the fragrance opens with sparkling notes of blackcurrant sorbet and pink grapefruit, with a heart of tiger orchid and passion flower. The patchouli and velvety raspberry notes in the base offer a light gourmand touch."

I will start off by saying that I am pretty sure that this fragrance is Limited Edition which is only brought out during the summer months. This perfume has had many a face-lift, with last year the bottle and packaging having a blue theme running throughout rather than the pink theme which is significant of this year, 2016. I think Jimmy Choo should really consider making the Exotic perfume a permanent fragrance within their range as it is a wonderful twist on the original Jimmy Choo fragrance.

The bottle and packaging is very much in keeping with the other fragrances Jimmy Choo produce within its familiar rounded bottle. The 2015 version of the Jimmy Choo Exotic Eau de Toilette was turquoise whereas the 2016 is pink, which I think I prefer a little bit more. Either way the scent itself stays the same each year which I think is the most important thing.

Jimmy Choo Exotic features top notes of grapefruit and blackcurrant sorbet with heart notes of floral accord, orchid and passion flower. The base notes consist of patchouli and raspberry but overall the fragrance smells very fruity and not at all too sweet or overpowering. There is nothing I dislike more than perfumes that give you a headache and fortunately this doesn't have that affect! It is a really light, fruity scent which is perfect for daytime during the warmer periods, although I will be wearing it throughout the year!

The Jimmy Choo Exotic EDT is only available in a 60 ml bottle and costs around £44 although it is often on offer in Boots for a lot less. Exotic has suddenly become a firm favourite of mine and I urge you all to sample it and see for yourselves!

  1. This sounds and looks great! I have the Jimmy Choo Blossom perfume and it's quickly becoming one of my favorites, so I think I'd like this as well x

  2. A flower by any other name is still just a flower. Yes, this is true but that does not always apply to fragrances. Perfumes and colognes are different when it comes down to the technical terminology. Beauty
