Review | Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil in Shade Two

A few weeks ago Benefit were giving away their Goof Proof Brow Pencil to celebrate their new eyebrow range. Itching to try a few products from the new range, I put my name forward and here I am, with my own little Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil in a sweet sample size. I love Benefit for readily giving away sample sizes of their products for people to try as I love being able to try a mini-sized version of something before I commit to buy the full-sized version. Thank you, Benefit!

About the Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil:
"Presto…everyone’s an expert with this super easy filling & shaping eyebrow pencil. It features a custom, non-sharpen “goof-proof” tip, soft colour and a glide-on formula for easy & fast brow filling. Comes complete with built-in blending spoolie-brush and signature Tips & Tricks!"

When I was born I was blessed with strong eyebrows. I'm now 22 years old and I have never had my eyebrows done which I think is pretty good going, considering. That said, I do ever so lightly fill them in with the Collection Eyebrow Kit which I have had for so long I couldn't possibly tell you which year I purchased it in. Whilst I like this little Collection Eyebrow Kit, I was really looking forward to trying the Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil which I managed to get in Shade Two, Light.

The full-sized Goof Proof Pencil comes double-ended with the pencil on one end and a spoolie on the other, although the sample size just comes with the pencil. This eyebrow pencil is available in 6 different shades with a really handy colour match guide on the Benefit website to help you choose which shade would be best for you. I have brown/dark blonde hair and I find that Shade Two is perfect for me.

The Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil comes in the now standard silver packaging which is fully retractable for ease. The pencil itself is angled slightly to improve application, which makes it incredibly easy to apply as the width of the angled side is the same width of the average brow (apparently) but I do find the angled side incredibly easy to brush through the eyebrow. It is also incredibly useful to use this angled side of the pencil as a guide if you wanted to 'draw your eyebrows on' without going too over the top.

I really like the Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil as it is fills in your eyebrows incredibly easily with just a few light brush strokes. The pencil is very light and soft so when you fill in your eyebrows it isn't as if you were drawing them on with a Sharpie - you get a really soft and natural looking brow. Paired with the Benefit Gimme Brow Gel, your eyebrows will be definitely looking their best! I find that this eyebrow pencil stays put all day long and does not budge at all. Whilst I really enjoyed using the Goof Proof Brow Pencil, I really want to try a similar product, the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz which is slightly cheaper.

I have to admit, I've never done anything to my brows haha, but if I would do something I'd probably use this :D
