Other | A Small Victoria's Secret Underwear Haul

Whilst I am not one to share my underwear with the world, I had to show you what I have purchased recently. Yesterday I spent 2 hours, and a whole load of cash in Victoria's Secret. You all know by now how much I love that store and if I had to work in a different retail store then you can guarantee I would be handing my CV in in a flash; I would make excellent use of that staff discount!

I went in to Victoria's Secret to buy some perfume and/or swimwear and ended up purchasing a very expensive bra and two bralettes. I know Victoria's Secret is famous for its underwear but I had never considered buying mine from there. Whilst it is all very pretty with its delicate lace and satin bows, I am aware that you can pick up a T-Shirt bra from Primark for £2 and a bra is a bra really, isn't it? But I was in a spendy mood so ended up trying on half of the store whilst using a poor sales assistant like a personal shopper for 2 hours. Without sounding too provocative, I must have spent most of the day with my top off rather than on.

The first thing I will say is that the girls working in VS are incredibly helpful and are more than prepared to run around the store fetching you bras in different sizes for you to try. They are also highly knowledgeable in the correct bra fit and before you know it, you are two sizes bigger than what you originally thought your were. Get fitted with them before you buy everything in the size you think you are as the size you are in Marks & Spencer may be 4 cup sizes different in Victoria's Secret.

The first thing I wanted was the Victoria's Secret Front Close Bralette. A mannequin wearing wings was also wearing this bralette in hot pink lace so I was pretty adamant I wanted that too, although they only had my size in a pink ombre version. It has a front close catch which I only realised after pulling it over my head like a T-Shirt but it is the comfiest bralette I have ever worn. It doesn't feel like you are wearing anything at all which makes it perfect. Also, let's just take a minute to appreciate the delicate lace back.. Swoon.

The second item I wanted was the Victoria's Secret Long Line Bralette in the ruby wine shade. Again, it is so comfortable and so flattering to wear. It is so hard to find pretty bralettes which actually give you the same support that a bra would give you but fortunately these do.

Finally, I bought the Victoria's Secret Cropped Bustier in the shade forest green. I tried it on purely to see what it looked like and before I knew it, I was handing over my credit card ready to pay. I won't lie to you, it was expensive. Not as expensive as Agent Provocateur but more expensive than what Primark has to offer. Paying £50 for one bra was a slight shock and not something I am used to after spending £2 on Primark T-Shirt bras for years but god, is it pretty. It is also a lot more comfortable than it may appear to be. All in all, I am now obsessed with bras and want to wear them all as tops so everyone can appreciate them! (Ha ha, I joke, I joke..)

So, is Victoria's Secret lingerie worth it? Absolutely. Don't get me wrong, it is expensive and I won't be throwing away my Primark bras any time soon but we all deserve nice underwear to make ourselves feel better. Someone once told me when I was a child that you should always wear matching underwear as you will never know what might happen and it is a motto I have always tried to live by!
