Review // Makeup Revolution Ultra Blush Palette in Golden Sugar

I'm not really much of a blusher kinda gal. I'm either too heavy handed or I choose a shade which just makes me look permanently flushed. I used to adore cream blushers but I've since fallen out of love with them which is a shame as I have so many of them, as well as powder blushers. I recently went through my make-up collection and was shocked at how many I own and don't use!

For Christmas I received the Makeup Revolution Ultra Blush Palette in Golden Sugar and, oh my gosh, look how beautiful. Each shade bar one in the 8 shade palette has a shimmer finish to it so not only can you use them as a blush but also as a highlighter too. In the palette is a mixture of blushers, bronzers and highlighters so its not just an 8 pan blusher palette, which I originally thought.

About the Makeup Revolution Ultra Blush Palette in Golden Sugar:
"Introducing our third offering where we explore the most amazing collection of bronzers, merged blushers, baked bronzer and 2 merged baked highlighters."

Each shade in the Makeup Revolution Ultra Blush Palette is beautiful. When swatching them I kept saying "wow, how beautiful!" as, well, that's the kinda person I am. As much as I love eyeshadow palettes, I was a bit unsure as to how I get on with a blush palette. I can find palettes a bit hit and miss - there is always one or two shades in the pan that I know I would never use which turns out to be wasteful but luckily with this palette, that isn't the case. I think I love every shade in the palette. Each shade is incredibly pigmented and easy to blend with no fallout whatsoever.

I really didn't expect to enjoy or love this palette as much as I do! It is incredibly versatile with each shade perfect for use as either a highlight, a blush or even an eyeshadow. The matte brown shade (which is the mid-tone brown on the bottom row on the right) could also be used for contouring although as it is strong in pigmentation, perhaps a light hand will suffice. My favourite shades in the palette are the pearly white highlighter, the soft peach and muted pink on the top row as well as the rose gold shade on the bottom row. Each shade is beautiful as a highlight as well as blush and as they are so pigmented, you only need a soft hand as a little definitely goes a long way.

Another little bonus to this £6 palette is the packaging. As the product isn't so expensive I don't usually expect too much packaging-wise but this definitely delivers. Not only is it sturdy but there is also a mirror inside which covers the entire inside of the lid of the palette which makes it perfect for touch-ups on the go. At £6 each shade within the palette is 75p which definitely makes it sound like you got a bargain!
