Review // Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream All-Over Miracle Oil

I know I keep going on about it but I recently had horrendously dry skin on my face and I believed the only solution would be an industrial sized tube of the Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream. I had never tried any Elizabeth Arden products before but I knew how highly recommended the 8 Hour Cream is so as I was about to commit to buying the biggest tube they had, I received an email asking if I wanted to try out the Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream All-Over Miracle Oil. Er, yes please! If it has the word miracle in the title then it's gotta be good, right?

The Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream All-Over Miracle Oil has all of the same benefits as the original 8 Hour Cream and more. The main differences between the two products is that this is in oil form and can be used not only on the face and body, but in the hair too. It is an all-rounder, multi-purpose product which is clinically proven to moisturise for 8-12 hours.

About the Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream All-Over Miracle Oil:
"A potent blend of moisturizing ingredients, including Tsubaki Oil, combine to deliver intensive all-over moisture for face, body and hair. Clinically proven to moisturize for up to 12 hours, this multi-use formula leaves skin hydrated, smooth and looking luminous, without a greasy after-feel. Hair regains its moisture and shine."

I will be honest and say I had no idea how to use this product when I first received it. I was pretty clueless. The product comes in a 100ml sized bottle with a spray pump which is easy and convenient to use. When I went to apply this for the first time I was slightly nervous. I have fairly oily skin anyway so I was very apprehensive about putting more oil onto my face. The instructions say to simply spray the product onto the face so you get a thin layer on the skin before massaging it in afterwards. I ignored this the first time I used it as I wasn't too keen on the idea of spraying it everywhere so instead I squirted a few pumps into a cotton pad then wiped it over my face - which did literally nothing for me. Second time round I sprayed a few pumps into my hand before massaging and patting it into the skin - much better!

Once the oil was all massaged in, I went off to bed greasy-faced but with high hopes. The next morning I expected to wake up with very oily, sticky skin but was left with a beautifully smooth, soft, highly moisturised face. It was glorious. My skin wasn't greasy, oily or sticky at all. I was in awe!

Whilst I haven't tried this product all over the body or in the hair, I absolutely love it for the face. It literally does what it claims and I cannot fault it for that. The oil itself is very lightweight, non-greasy and non-sticky which makes the whole experience a lot less daunting when you are having to spray it onto the face. It soaks in to the skin within a few minutes and it smells wonderful - just like citrus meaning it is incredibly fresh in scent without being too overpowering or sickly either.

I am really impressed with the Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream All-Over Miracle Oil. It is a product with many a purpose which is jam-packed full of vitamins and oils which help to moisturise, soothe, protect and improve the skins texture. Suitable for the face, body and hair, this product is the perfect all-rounder which is the perfect addition to the Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour family.
