Review // Balance Me Radiance Face Mask

Do you remember when you were younger and your parents let you choose a magazine to buy? My sister and I would always make our choices purely down to the free gift attached to the front of the magazine. Always. Even if we didn't particularly want the magazine, we just wanted the little gift on the front which would entertain us for about half an hour. I remember once trying to persuade my mum to let me buy one of the monthly glossies when I was about 6 as it had a nice nail varnish included and I wanted it soo badly. I got a resounding no and had to get Girl Talk instead.

Whilst I don't make my magazine choices down to the free gift included anymore, it does make a nice little surprise when the magazine you were going to buy anyway has a little something something included. With this months Glamour magazine they are giving away one of three Balance Me products with every purchase, unless you are one of those really annoying people who take the free gift out of the magazine in the shop.. I remember when a magazine had little travel sized Benefit products included a couple of years ago, someone had gone through every magazine in Asda and had taken every product out. That was annoying. Try not to be that person.

With my Glamour magazine this month, I had the Balance Me Radiance Face Mask included which was very exciting. I have really wanted to try this face mask for ages ever since reading a few reviews on it so I was really looking forward to trying it out.

About the Balance Me Radiance Face Mask:
"What does the Balance Me Radiance Face Mask do? It removes impurities, brightens dull complexions, exfoliates dry skin and buffs away dead skin cells. Why do you need it? For dull skin: Skin-brightening fruit acid complex gives a gentle enzyme exfoliation whilst ground walnut spheres gently buff away dead skin cells. For oily/combination skin: Purifying kaolin clay draws out impurities and rebalances skin, leaving it hydrated and comfortable."

You receive a sweet little 30ml tube of the product which makes it perfect for travelling with, although after using the tube up I will definitely be buying the full sized version. I absolutely love using this mask. It smells really familiar, a scent which I can't really put my finger on. I think it smells like a Lush bath bomb, although I can't remember the name of which one. It smells very lovely and warming.

The Balance Me Radiance Face Mask is a very lightweight clay-based mask which has little walnut pieces running throughout. Not only is it a mask but it is also an exfoliator which makes it the perfect 2-in-1 product! You just need the smallest squeeze of the tube to cover the entire face so a little goes a long way. When it comes to application it is very creamy and easy to apply, although it doesn't have the usual characteristics of a face mask - it doesn't really dry on the face, it kind of soaks into the skin and disappears. The instructions state you are to leave it on for 5 minutes then wash away with a warm cloth. By that point most of the face mask has soaked into the skin and completely disappeared.

After I had used the Balance Me Radiance Face Mask, my face was so soft and appeared much more hydrated and brighter than before. I applied the face mask before bedtime and the next day my skin looked so much healthier and perkier before! I don't know if it was a mere coincidence or if this face mask helped improve my skin pretty much instantly, but I will be keep using it to find out.

I really recommend this face mask. It doesn't make your face feel tight nor does it harden like a usual face mask. You also don't need to sit around for about 15 minutes waiting for it to dry either! If you want to give it a try then get down to a newsagents and grab a copy of Glamour magazine, you won't regret it.

  1. Oooh I got a sample of this mask a while ago and I haven't used it yet, I better try and find it. I remember the old magazine days well, though it was boyband posters and stickers that came in ones I bought haha :)
