Other // What's On My American Beauty Shopping List..

Whilst my holiday is drawing closer and I am trying to sort out the last-minute boring holiday essentials like travel insurance, I have bigger, more important things to worry about. Like what to buy when I am there - of course!

If you have never stepped foot in a Sephora before then I very much highly recommend it. It's the make-up shop of dreams. There is so much to look at and you couldn't possible just go there once - oh no. You definitely need a good few trips to make the most out of it. Sephora is like a tourist attraction in itself. Forget the Washington Monument - it is all about Sephora for me.

I have known I am going to America for a while now so I have had plenty of time to write up a tiny little shopping list of things I hope to buy when I get there. Although I am not seeing this list as a list - more like a challenge. I will get everything on it and I will feel a sense of accomplishment when I do!

Here is my not-so-little shopping list for my American trip! I plan on buying a few items for a blog giveaway for when I come home so if there is anything beauty wise that you can only purchase in the US that you would like to try, let me know in the comments down below and I will try and add it to my list.

I love the sound of the Maybelline Eye Studio Primer, especially in the Prime + Smooth version which leaves a beautiful deep taupe shade on the eyelids. I have struggled to find any reviews on this product so I would like to give it a try and see how well it fares. The next product I would love to try is the Kat Von D Monarch Eyeshadow Palette which is fairly pricey at $46 but it does include three wonderful base shades as well as nine warm-toned solo eyeshadows. I know you can buy the Hourglass Ambient Strobe Lighting Powder in the UK but I would never normally buy such an expensive solo product on myself at home so I feel like I could probably stretch to it whilst in America - I am on holiday, after all! I have read a few reviews on this in the shade Incandescent and a lot of people have complained that it shows up every pore and blemish on the face but I would like to try it out myself. Next on my list is the Tarte Tartelette In Bloom Clay Eyeshadow Palette which appears to be the dreamiest palette around. I love the look of each shade so it definitely appears to be a very wearable set of eyeshadows. I also have my eye on the matte version... Next on my list to be ticked off is the Nude Beautyblender. This is only on my list due to its colour as I hate seeing my brightly coloured blending sponges dis-colour! I also really want to purchase the Too Faced Boudoir Eyes Soft & Sexy Shadow Collection. I know I don't need three eyeshadow palettes but I really love the pink champagne coloured shades within this little set.
Finally, I would really love to get a few of the Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks as I have heard such great things about them. I'm really hoping to pick up the shades Lolita, a chestnut rose shade and Bow N Arrow, a fawn nude. I would also like to try another eyeshadow primer, this time the Wet n Wild Picture Perfect Eyeshadow Primer which is fairly inexpensive at $4.99. Next is another eyeshadow palette, this time the Anastasia Beverly Hills Self-Made Eyeshadow Palette which is limited edition. I think most of the shades in this palette are really wearable, everyday eyeshadows, although the mint green and vibrant purple shades will be a bit hit-and-miss. I would also like to try the Becca Aqua Luminous Perfecting Foundation as I would like to try a water-based foundation although I imagine the thin consistency will take some getting used to! I also want to purchase the Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in Pure Hollywood, a pale mauve naude and in American Doll, a classic blue red. Everyone is going mad for liquid lipsticks at the moment so I will defnitely be torn between these and the Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks. Lastly, I really need to pick up another Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper as it is my favourite liquid eyeliner and I don't want to live without it!

Is there anything above you would like to see included in a blog giveaway?
