Review // Natural Collection Solo Eyeshadow in Butterscotch

I have enough eyeshadows to last me well over 20 years but for some reason, knowing this piece of information does not stop me from buying some more. My current favourite eyeshadows are from BareMinerals, MAC and...Natural Collection?

At £1.99, Natural Collection is cheap and let's face it, a hell of a lot cheaper than a £13.00 MAC eyeshadow. I am a firm believer in 'you get what you pay for' but I am really fond of Natural Collection eyeshadows. Okay, so they might not be as phenomenally pigmented as a MAC or a BareMinerals eyeshadow but for £1.99, they definitely perform well. I recently wrote a post all about their Willow shade but for today, let me tell you all about the Natural Collection Solo Eyeshadow in Butterscotch.

Butterscotch is a pinky beige, neutral eyeshadow which is perfect for evening out skintones or using as a base underneath a stronger eyeshadow. As always, I apply my beloved MAC Paint Pot in Painterly as my primer then I apply Butterscotch with a fluffy eyeshadow brush on top. Butterscotch is fairly soft in consistency which makes it incredibly easy to apply. If I want to wear just a neutral eyeshadow on its own for a 'no make-up' make-up day then Butterscotch is the first eyeshadow I would pick up. It lasts all day, does not budge, crease or wear once although I do pair it with Painterly so I am not sure how well it would fare without some sort of primer underneath.

Overall, for £1.99 the Natural Collection Solo Eyeshadows are well worth it. Okay, so they might not match up to MAC in pigmentation but for just under £2, they aren't terrible. In fact, they are very good. They are soft to the touch, easy to apply and perfect as a base to another eyeshadow. Butterscotch is the most perfect, inexpensive neutral shade and for £1.99, it is definitely a shade worth trying as you walk past a Natural Collection stand.

  1. Wow £1.99 is such a bargain, I've never tried anything from Natural Collection. That would be such a lovely shade to do a 1950's make up look. Thanks for sharing!
