Other // My MAC Paint Pot Collection

My first ever MAC purchase was a Paint Pot. I had a discount code for Debenhams online and didn't know what to buy so after careful consideration that lasted many hours, I finally purchased the MAC Paint Pot in Painterly. That was a very long time ago and even now, all these years later, it is still my favourite. You can see how much of it I have used in the photos above which was why it was featured in my recent most used beauty products post.

MAC Paint Pots are my ultimate favourite MAC products. You can either use them on their own or underneath another eyeshadow. They are the perfect primer too, they do not crease and they help other eyeshadows stay put all day long. £16 does sound fairly steep for essentially one eye product but they last so long! I have had Painterly for so long I can't remember, I use it nearly every day and I still have about 1/5 of product left which is remarkable considering how many uses you get out of the little pot.

Because I love them so much, I thought I would share with you my little collection! I only have five but I definitely want a few more, in fact I am already eyeing up the shade Perky, which is a cream coral with a white pearl finish.

From left - right
Stormy Pink- Muted lavender with a grey base.
Vintage Selection- Warm peach with a champagne shimmer.
Painterly- Nude beige.
Frozen Violet- Frozen silver with taupe undertones.
Groundwork- Mid-tone neutral taupe.

Out of the five above, my most used are Painterly, Vintage Selection and Frozen Violet. I haven't found myself reaching for Stormy Pink or Groundwork that often but I will make more of an effort to do so, especially as they are so wearable and have many uses.

What do you think? Do you own any MAC Paint Pots?

  1. I've never purchased a Mac Paint Pot before, but currently have Soft Ochre sat in my MAC basket, but now Stormy Pink or Frozen Violet (can't choose!) is being added straight to it too! So stunning and perfectly Autumnal ❤️

  9. Mac Soft Ochre is my go-to eye primer. I love it so much cause it easily cancels out the darkness on my lids. As much as I love the Maybelline Color Tattoo version, there's just something very different about this formula that keeps me going back to it.
