Other // My Current Favourite Things

A slightly different post from me today. I thought I would do a little 'my current favourite things' post that is mainly non-beauty related just so you can subtly find out a little bit more me! If you follow me on twitter then you may occasionally see me mention a few of these things - that's if you can get through the scheduled tweets, ha ha.

One Direction- My favourite. I love One Direction so much. Harry Styles even more than that, if it were possible. Whilst my bedroom is not a shrine to all things 1D, I do own a One Direction t-shirt. And a necklace that says 'Mrs Styles' on. No, really, I do! Their new song Perfect is currently on repeat on Spotify, and in my head. I won't lie to you, I was utterly shocked and horrified when I heard that they were 'having a break' and don't even get me started on Zayn leaving!!

Christmas- I am 100% in the festive spirit now. We have just over a month until the big day and in my eyes, each sleep is one step closer. I could quite happily watch Christmas movies all day long and relish in the cosiness and sheer joy of it all. Unfortunately I have only purchased one Christmas present so far and I am in serious debate with myself over keeping it for myself so...

My nails- Okay, slightly weird one but my nails are so long and lovely at the moment, I keep staring at them. I am currently wearing a beautiful nude nail polish from Mavala which I will post about soon! When I meet someone for the first time, the first thing I notice about them is their hands so I think it is important to have well looked after nails. Obviously if you have an issue with biting your nails then you can't help that but I'm really lucky that I have never decided to make a meal out of my nails.

Candles- Awfully stereotypical but I am currently really enjoying candles! When I get home from work of an evening, all I want to do is sit and watch tv whilst occassionally seeing the flicker of a flame out of the corner of my eye. I have an awful lot - one would say I am a bit of a hoarder - so I have a lot to get through.

Missguided Lingerie- A couple of days ago I wrote a post on the Missguided lingerie collection and I have not stopped thinking about it since. I think the bras are so pretty. If I could get away with wearing one visibly so all could enjoy then I would do. I am contemplating placing a pretty hefty Missguided order and I believe a few of their lingerie will end up in my online basket.

Makeup Revolution Baked Highlighters- I bought the Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Highlighter in Golden Lights recently and it has very quickly become one of my favourite make-up products. I cannot believe it is only £3! It is a beautiful off-white shimmery powder which looks beautiful along the cheekbones for a soft glow which can quite easily be built up for a stronger highlight. You can win one and a Makeup Revolution Concealer Palette in my giveaway!

Spotify- Remember the days of the MP3 players and old, chunky iPods? The day I got my first MP3 player, I could have cried with happiness. I even remember getting it, such a monumental day in my life it was. Well those days are gone. Now all of our music is found on one little app and it is glorious. I only discovered Spotify recently but it has opened my eyes! All of my embarrassing music can be found at one handy little place. Lovely.

My Blog- This little website is definitely one of my favourites. I am putting more time and effort into it and hopefully that comes across in the regular posts that I am creating and trying to publish daily. I recently mentioned that I had an on/off relationship with my blog. I fell out of love with it, I hated my blog layout, I didn't like what I was posting.. I felt like I was fighting a losing battle. I decided to change my attitude so I purchased my own domain, I purchased a blog layout.. I decided to spend more time on my photos and how I edit them, I generally made more of an effort and now I absolutely adore writing content, finding new things to share with you all and generally being a part of the blogging bubble.

Your blog- Whilst writing my own, I love reading others! I currently have 843 posts to read on Bloglovin' so it is fairly hard to catch up but I try and comment on every post I read with positive messages, just like the ones you all leave me.

(Just want to clarify that I did not buy the Mrs Styles necklace for myself, nor do I wear it!)
