Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte
It's cold. It's raining. Everyone looks pretty damn miserable. Nope, I'm not describing a British summer - Autumn is here!!
I am over summer. I am sick of hearing people flip-flopping their way to their destination. I am fed up with having to endure the look of other peoples bare flesh. Autumn is definitely welcomed with open arms.
I am looking forward to wrapping up with jumpers, coats and scarves when I venture out of the house. I'm looking forward to wearing all of the clothes I bought at the end of last winter which I never got round to wearing, including a rather lovely faux fur coat I bought when I was on my holidays. I can't wait to start wearing all of my various versions of the same classic black boots that have been patiently waiting to be worn again. I am looking forward to cosy nights in with lovely lit candles and pints of hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshies on top. Just thinking about it is making me all warm and cosy inside.
More importantly, however, Autumn signifies the return of the legendary Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte. I had one today and I think my life has changed for the better. I like lattes but they have to have a syrup in to try and disguise the overpowering taste of coffee so pumpkin spice is right up my street. I can't say I am too familiar with the taste of pumpkin so I wasn't sure what it would actually taste like but it does not taste like vegetable at all. It tastes of a mixture of spices which is quite sweet but it doesn't taste largely of coffee. I really liked it, especially with whipped cream and a spiced topping on top but towards the end I did feel it was a little sickly sweet. At £3.55 it was a nice treat which definitely gave me all the Autumn/Fall feels but perhaps next time I will forgo the Grande and go for a Tall!
Oh and, I think the cup itself is well worth the mention. An Autumn Starbucks cup! How cool! They need to do this design in a re-useable cup as I need this as a permanent fixture in my life. It physically hurt me to throw it away.
