Review // Lush Butterbear Bath Bomb

Whenever people buy me 'nice' bath stuff, I can never bring myself to use it. I couldn't figure out why this was, until I had a conversation with my friend and we finally came to a conclusion - they are for 'special' baths. Whilst I'm not entirely sure what signifies a 'special' bath, every now and then I feel like I should forgo my regular Radox bubble bath and treat myself to a luxurious bubbly treat. Or in this instance, my sister wanted to treat me so say hello to the Lush Butterbear Bath Bomb.

What Lush say about Butterbear:
"Cocoa butter creates a creamy soft bath that is great for nourishing and protecting your skin, with the same vanilla-like fragrance as Butterball Bath Bomb. Moulded into a friendly and sweet-smelling bear, this is sure to be a winner with little and big kids alike!"

Butterbear is a cute little white bear shaped bath bomb which smells wonderful. If I could get a perfume made out of the scent then I definitely would do. It's fresh and clean but sweet at the same time. Lovely. I think one of the best things about Lush bath products isn't just the lovely scents, it's the surprise you get when you run them under hot water. What will happen? What will come out? Will the water change colour? I love the 5 seconds of anticipation you feel just beforehand. (Reading that back makes me sound a little bit sad but come on, we all do it!)

When submerged under hot water, Butterbear fizzes wildly and whilst the water doesn't change colour, beads of cocoa butter and ylang ylang oil appear which look a little like grease but when you bathe in it your skin is left feeling wonderfully soft. Even after Butterbear was dispersed, the bath water still smelt amazing and my skin felt (and smelt) amazing afterwards.

Whilst nothing utterly fantasticly mind-boggling happened in the water, I utterly loved Butterbear. The one downside to this product is that afterwards, the bath is left feeling awfully slippery due to the products within the bath bomb, meaning you could potentially be one step away from being faceplanted in your own bathtub but hey, at least you will smell good.
