Review // Nivea In-Shower Body Moisturiser Skin Conditioner for Normal Skin

Summer means bare skin, sun tans, sun burn and, um, dry skin. Well, it is in my world. If I had a pound for every minute I spent waiting for my moisturiser to soak in to my skin before I could get dressed each morning then I would be fairly rich. Probably. But now, we have an answer to all of our first world problems. An in-shower moisturiser. Remarkable. Nivea has created three Nivea In-Shower Body Moisturisers which come in different versions depending on your skin type: dry, normal and a pampering honey version for those with dry skin. The dry version comes in a blue bottle, whereas the normal version comes in a white bottle, as does the pampering honey version.

What Nivea say about their In-Shower Body Moisturisers:
"The innovative Nivea In-Shower Body Moisturiser for Normal Skin allows you to conveniently moisturise your whole body whilst in the shower. Revolutionise your daily body care routine and take the hassle out of having silky, soft skin."

How to use:
"Use your normal shower product and rise off. Apply this In-Shower Moisturiser on wet skin while still in the shower and rinse off. Dry yourself, get dressed, and go. Leaves no residue on towels."

There is a slightly cautious warning on the back of the bottle that says:
"May make bath tub/shower floor slippery, thus take care when using the product and remove any remaining residue from floor thoroughly after use."

After raising my eyebrows at the caution on the back, I jumped in the shower to try it out and I was completely surprised. The moisturiser came out of the bottle easily and was lovely, thick and creamy. I expected it to be the consistency of normal moisturiser so I was pleasantly surprised at the texture to it. It was easily rubbed into the skin and after a few moments, I tried washing it off and it came off easily.

Once out of the shower, I found that my dry legs weren't dry any more. They were lovely, smooth and highly moisturised which is excellent considering the moisturiser wasn't on the skin for long and it was washed off straight away. To be honest, I didn't expect it to work as well as it does. I expected it to be a bit of a body wash that left the skin feeling somewhat soft but nope, it does exactly what you want it to do.

One thing to mention is that the caution on the back of the bottle is there for a reason. It does leave the bottom of your bath/shower really slippery so be careful when getting out and let your fellow bath/shower users know or they might be in for a nasty surprise. :-)

Overall, an excellent In-Shower Body Moisturiser that lives up to all of its claims. It caters for different skin types and the bottles come in an array of different sizes. Well done, Nivea.
