Review: Bourjois Paris Rouge Edition Lipstick in 11 Fraise Remix

Bourjois Paris Rouge Edition Lipstick - £7.99
Woo, another lipstick post. Looking back at my previous lipsticks posts it's quite clear that I go for very similar colours and for that I'm sorry. I am planning a 'my lipstick collection' post soon so hopefully you'll be able to see how my lipsticks differ.. Or not as the case may be.

Back at the end of the summer I bought this lipstick. I think it was a 3 for 2 on Bourjois products so I bought this lipstick on a whim - picking it up purely for the lovely colour. The lipstick I bought was Bourjois Paris Rouge Edition Lipstick in Fraise Remix.

Fraise Remix is a deep pink with a hint of yellow. It's a shade that definitely would not look out of place during the summer months but I have no qualms about wearing it in winter! Fraise Remix is a fairly opaque lipstick and the swatch above does it no favours at all. In the photo above it looks like there is a subtle shimmer to it but I don't recall there being a shimmer when applied to the lips.

The lipstick itself is really moisturising when applied and doesn't show up any dry areas although it is better to exfoliate beforehand, just in case. Fraise Remix was really easy to apply: it's really smooth and glided on effortlessly. I found that it didn't last too long before showing signs of wear on the lips due to eating/drinking, about an hour or two. Nonetheless when it did fade it did leave a subtle tint so I didn't feel the need to re-apply.

I did have images of me wearing Fraise Remix but as they did the lipstick no justice at all I've decided not to show them but it really is a truly wonderful colour. If you don't believe me get yourself into Boots and swatch!
