Review: MAC Mineralize Eyeshadow in Cloudy Afternoon

A couple of weeks ago, during one very unproductive afternoon, my sister and I decided to go to our local shopping Outlet Village to buy a few little products from the Cosmetics Company, the discounted cosmetics shop ie. the only place where I live where you can buy MAC from.

We ended up buying three products. A Smashbox Concealer, a MAC Lipstick and a MAC Eyeshadow, which I'll be reviewing today. The eyeshadow is called MAC Mineralize Eyeshade in Cloudy Afternoon, which is a taupe grey with grey, olive green, pink and blue veining. Once swatched you can't pick up on the different coloured veining as it appears as a taupe colour.

In the pan it looks very, very pretty. I almost couldn't bear to use it in case I wrecked it's appearance! It does appear quite sheer so you really have to use a lot of it in order to get a strong colour on the eyelids but overall, I really love the colour so I do think it's worth the hassle.

I haven't used a MAC eyeshadow before so I didn't really know how to apply it. After umming and ahhing I chose a fluffy eyeshadow brush and applied all over the eyelid but first I applied the MAC Paint Pot in Painterly as a primer and I found that it lasted all day long without signs of wear or creasing.

Overall I really love this eyeshadow, I think it's the perfect every day eyeshadow that isn't too heavy and you can build it up as much as you like. After Googling this eyeshadow I've realised that this is a limited edition eyeshadow from the Naturally Collection. You can't buy it on the MAC website anymore but if you live near a Cosmetics Company shop you may be lucky enough to find it in there for around £8.
