Review: Soap and Glory Supercat Eyeliner Pen in Carbon Black

Soap and Glory Supercat Eyeliner Pen - £6.00
I hold my hands up and admit, I am a little bit of a hypocrite. Whenever I buy a new eyeliner I label it as my favourite and I'll use it so much that I slowly start to hate it. So, to solve my problem I bought a new one, hurrah!

This time I decided to buy the Soap and Glory Supercat Eyeliner Pen in Carbon Black. I bought it without looking at reviews, I was drawn in by the lovely packaging and took it straight to the checkout before I could change my mind and think about the 4 abandoned, unopened eyeliners hidden away in my bedroom.

The eyeliner nib is thin so it's perfect for applying thick or thin lines to the eyelids. The pen is really sturdy to help ensure easy application and precision and it does this very well. The packaging to this product says it's 'foolproof' - I'm not 100% sure about that as I still muck up eyeliner when I apply it but that's probably just me! The shade is Carbon Black and it is the blackest of blacks, no false advertising colour wise.

The one problem I have with eyeliners is their staying power. I'm fed up with applying it, leaving the room, looking in the mirror 2 minutes later and finding that it has either faded or transferred to my eyelid. When I applied this eyeliner without a primer I found that it had faded incredibly quickly whereas when I used a primer it stayed put all day without moving so a primer is a must. Luckily it doesn't transfer either so overall, this product is great!
