Review: George Satin Soft Kohl Pencil in Black

George Satin Soft Kohl Pencil - £2.00
You may or may have not have noticed by now that I am always on the hunt for an opaque, black eyeliner, albeit a pencil, gel or liquid. As much as I love my L'oreal Super Slim Eyeliner, I am always looking for another alternative to eyeliner perfection so when my mum bought me a kohl pencil from Asda, I couldn't not give it a try.

When I was younger I always wore a pencil eyeliner as, for the life of me, I just could not use a liquid eyeliner. Fortunately, the older I've grown the steadier my hands have become and now liquid eyeliner is my favourite type of eyeliner but every once in a while I like to go back to a pencil - for old times sake.

My mum recently picked me up a George Satin Soft Kohl Pencil in Black. On one end it has the pencil, on the other end it has a smudger. I personally have never liked the idea of a smudger - I believe it just removes your eyeliner and what eyeliner you do have left behind, it just moves it around your face. I obviously have never grasped the concept of it!

This eyeliner pencil is supposed to be black but when swatched lightly it is more of a dark brown but when swatched heavily it builds up to an intense black. It glides incredibly easily onto the eyelids but as I said before, you do need to go over it a few times to build it up to an opaque colour that resembles black. Unfortunately. like most eyeliners, this does transfer onto the top of your eyelids which is a real shame.
