A while ago Buyapowa had a deal on where you could buy Nails Inc Nail Varnishes in Notting Hill Carnival and Baker Street together for about £13. I had been thinking about buying Baker Street after seeing it on Beyonce so decided to get two for just over the price of one.
Notting Hill Carnival is a yellow creme nail varnish which isn't bright like Baker Street but it isn't pastel either. It reminds me of easter and summertime.
Products used were:
Sally Hansen Double Duty Base Coat
Nails Inc Nail Varnish in Notting Hill Carnival
17 Nail Extras Matte Top Coat
It was a bit of pain to apply as it was quite streaky so it took 3 coats to get it fully opaque. I had a bit of trouble with the brush as it kept on shredding which made my application streaky so I had to keep re-applying over streaky areas which made the finish a little uneven. I don't know if Nails Inc brushes always do this or if I got an unfortunate brush but either way I wasn't very impressed.
I applied a matte top coat over this nail varnish to give it a matte finish. Because of this, the nail varnish chipped in 2 days and I ended up taking it all off as I had had enough. I do like this nail varnish but I'm a bit unsure about it. It's a nice colour but I don't think it really suits my skintone. If you're looking for a summery yellow nail varnish then this will be perfect for you.
