Review // ELF Studio Matte Lip Colour in Tea Rose

ELF Studio Matte Lip Colour - £3.50
A while ago on my last order to ELF I bought the ELF Matte Lip Colour in Tea Rose to see what it was like. I did originally want the coral lip colour but they didn't have it and Tea Rose was in the sale so I bought it as I am weak.

The matte lip colour comes in retractable packaging, just like a retractable pen which makes it much easier than it being in a pencil form as I can't be dealing with the process of sharpening. The bottom of the lip colour signifies which colour you are looking at, very handy if you have more than one. The colour Tea Rose is what I would describe as a dusky mauve, which looks very natural and pretty on the lips. I would go as far to say it even sits nicely in the 'Kylie Jenner Lip Colour' category.

I usually suffer badly with dry and chapped lips but when I applied this matte lip colour it didn't highlight my problem areas like lipstick does. (Barry M, I'm looking at you!) It applies very easily as it's very creamy and surprisingly it isn't very drying either. I could feel this on my lips but I didn't really mind it. It didn't feel tight or uncomfortable, unlike Barry M's 147.

I enjoyed Tea Rose so much that I have now purchased a few more shades in ELF's Studio Matte Lip Colour range. Coral is a beaut, let me tell you!
